We make choices in this life that do not always go the way we expect them too. You cannot take back or change the path that some choice you made created you just have to live with it. I think that is very hard to do sometimes. Saying you are sorry means nothing most of the time when the other person does not care. You learn that their priorities were not the same as yours. You may be a person who has a heart of gold and cares about people and the other person does not.
The path you take is not always going to be the right one and you hope that the mistakes you make are not so bad they cannot be fixed. But sometimes they are and you cannot change the course or go back in time to do anything about it. Unfortunately, life is full of choices and we all make them. Hoping that the impact it makes on others will be positive and not intend to be anything other.
The world is full of people but not all of them are part of our everyday lives. Some we hope will stay forever or at least for awhile. Then that friendship has choices to be made and while not all of them will be the right ones we hope they will help the friendship grow. It does take two people to be friends and sadly not both of them will have the same look at the world as you. But once in a while you find that one person whom you think is going to be a great friend and as time goes by the choices you make create a different path. But not always or at least I would hope. People come and go in our lives and we sometimes get the chance to revisit them again. We made that choice to contact them again after so many years and hope they remember us. You hope that they will be around for a while only to find out that they had other intentions and being your friend was never one of them. It is not always easy to reconnect with people from your past you never know how that choice will turn out.
Make choices carefully in this world for you never know how they will impact others. As I said you cannot change the course and not everyone is forgiving in this world. And not everyone has the same intentions as you.
